i’m in london! before i start work in mid-september, i wanted to enjoy a final, stress-free, adventure.
it’s been stressful.
i had plans to spend my birthday in paris, and to house-sit in london for a week to afford it. the man i was planning on house-sitting for keeps on shortening the dates, so now i’m a little broke, and i will actually be leaving paris the night before my birthday, due to circumstances out of my control. i’m definitely a little upset that i’ll be turning 24 alone on the tube back to my brother’s house, but i guess i’ll be 24 so i’m supposed to be mature about things now. at least it’ll make for a great, angsty, journal entry.
london has been a massive cash loss, and i’ve been lonely for the most part. the most interaction i’ve had was when i went to a block party with my friend saf, which was really great, but too much soju made me sick. and the dj wasn’t very good. i’m complaining too much now. maybe i’m getting all my immaturity out while i get to be 23, maybe i’m just feeling a bit low.
